Pitlochry has colourful events throughout the year - Highland Games Days, Etape Caledonia, The Enchanted Forest, New Years Day Street Party and the lively Cateran Fest.
Perthshire is the outdoor activity playground of Scotland. We have the UK's first static Bungee jump, white water sports for the energetic, superb walking and cycling routes for those looking for peace and quiet and Hunting, Shooting and Fishing for the traditionalists.
If you are staying with us for a short break or romantic weekend are probably expecting to have a dip in the hot tub and then to cosy in front of your log burning stove. However, here are lots of marked walks in the area from low level loch-side ambles to more strenuous mountain climbing to tear you away from your lodge.
Pitlochry also has lots of entertainment and action to tempt you with many pubs providing live entertainment several times per week.
March and April see an eclectic mixture of touring before the main season begins in May, running until October. In recent year there has been a late special running in November followed by either a musical or pantomime in December.
May brings the Atholl Highlanders Parade and Highalnd Games at Blair Atholl (just 7 miles from Kinnaird).
The Second Saturday in September is always Pitlochry Highland Games - a fanatastic event enjoyed by locals and visitors.
September brings The Horse Trials to Blair Castle. Not just for equine enthusastics, it has a fantastic country fair feel about the week long event.
Glenshee, the most extensive ski area in Scotland with 36 runs and 22 lifts, is a 40 minute drive from Kinnaird and opens in December each year. In recent years the snow has been very good and hope to stay open until mid April each year.
The Victorians came to the town to take in the clean air and waters of the region and it became a popular spa destination for wealthy city dwellers.
Why a hot tub will make your holiday so much better you'll never want to holiday without one again!

Our luxury spa pine lodges with private hot tub are spacious properties and offer a home from home experience, complete with a living, dining and kitchen area and vast windows revealing the picturesque Pitlochry landscape.
Premium lodges offer the same great hot tubs hot tub and wood burning stove experience with a king sized bed in the wood lined bedroom and extra space in the living areas and on the decking.
“Unpretentious cosy luxury in a beautiful Location” We visited in February, and cannot recommend more highly My partner and I are both keen walkers, and this is the perfect place for location and accommodation There are a multitude of walks of varying length and abilities straight from the door. The secluded private hot tub on the patio was perfect after our long walks to ease aching muscles and view the beautiful landscape The cabin was inviting and perfectly appointed from the under-floor heating in the bathroom to the cosy wood burning stove. Our evenings were spent either relaxing by the log burner grazing on food from the fantastic local Deli, or in the friendly pub just a 10 minute walk away Jo from Gloucestershire
My husband and I spent new year there. Stayed three days but could easily have stayed longer! We booked the upgrade but Im sure all lodges would have been of same quality. Absolutely beautiful inside with all the tools for cooking you could need. Finished to an extremely high standard. Log fire really added that special touch as the bells came in, looking out windows at all the fireworks taking place in and around Pitlochry! The hot tub was just magical sitting under the stars. About a 10 - 15minute walk away is the Moullin Inn which is very popular, you can just get a drink or nice meal. Pitlochry itself is about half hour walk. Great base if you fancy doing bit walking or some touring. Would definitely reccommend the lodges and hope to return some day! Room Tip: Beatiful views from all lodges!
